Barry Morrow's Bio
Initially pursuing a career in medicine, Barry received an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After moving to Atlanta in the mid-seventies and working in business for a few years, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary where he graduated with High Honors. At Dallas Seminary he received a Masters Degree in Semitics and Old Testament Studies, and was awarded the Jennie Solomon Award in Old Testament. Barry’s first book, Heaven Observed: Glimpses of Transcendence in Everyday Life, was published by NavPress. The book examines our desire and quest for meaning and happiness in this life, and takes a look at the various avenues through which we attempt to find such fulfillment, such as our work and leisure. He is currently writing a book to be published by Authentic Press in 2011, titled, Made For Another World: Exploring Our Deepest Longings. He is married with two grown children, and resides in Roswell, Georgia. He enjoys movies, reading, playing golf, and is passionate about baseball. Occasionally he can be found exploring the haunts of C.S. Lewis and his Inklings companions at the Eagle and Child Pub on St. Giles when he can make his way to Oxford, England.
